The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Benevolent Association (PBA), and the Arlington Business Improvement District (www.arlingtonhasit.org) are proud to once again host a Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department “Law Enforcement Day.”
The free, youth-oriented event will be held on Saturday, June 6th on the Vassar Alumnae Lawn from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This year, Law Enforcement Day will be even more special, as it will be held in conjunction with a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) walk and fundraiser. In the event of rain, both activities will be held the following day, Sunday, June 7th.
Attendees are invited to stop by for a fun-filled day, including seeing police department vehicles and other equipment up close and personal and learning more about local community youth services. Families with children are encouraged to visit the Child Identification Station that will be set up at the event. There will also be a K9 demonstration, free snacks, bounce houses, face painting, a DJ and more, as well as the chance to enter raffles for prize giveaways.
“We are thrilled to bring together Law Enforcement Day and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation walk and fundraiser,” says Bob Legacy, director of the Arlington Business
